Perdue launches new website, "Building a New North Carolina"

A message from NASW-NC's endorsed Gubernatorial candidate, Bev Perdue:

Friends,

North Carolina is being transformed all around us. We’re one of the fastest growing states in America. We’re competing with China and India. Technology is changing the way we dobusiness…the way our kids learn… and how our families stay connected.

So the issue for us to decide is not if North Carolinais going to change. It’s how North Carolina is going to change – how we can worktogether to make the new North Carolina a betterNorth Carolina.

Today I launched Building a New North Carolina– a new webpage dedicated to highlighting initiatives that I will pursue asGovernor to better prepare North Carolina for the 21st century, aswell as those I have already begun as Lieutenant Governor.

I will continue torelease installments to Building a New North Carolina throughout thecampaign. You should also checkout the website for new features including YouTube, Flickr and a Facebookgroup.

The first installment to Buildinga New North Carolina is the recently established public-private partnershipto modernize rural hospitals throughout North Carolina – the Rural HOPE (HOspital Program Enhancements)initiative. It will help our state’s 56 ruralhospitals be better equipped to provide quality health care to patients withoutforcing them to travel hundreds of miles.

Sincerely,

Bev Perdue
