Mentally ill eager to help fix system
RALEIGH – Violence in state hospitals and the loss of emergency mental health care services in communities have pulled the state into another attempt to fix its mental-health system. But some advocates for people with mental illness say those personally touched by the failures don’t have a voice in finding solutions.
