NCGV News

We are approaching the anniversary of the tragic murders committed on the Virginia Tech campus on April 16th -- the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history.

On this day, lie-ins will be held across the country to protest lax U.S.
gun laws. So far, 80 lie-ins are scheduled in 32 states (protesteasyguns.com).
The North Carolina Million Mom March chapters and NCGV would like to invite you to participate in a lie-in to remember Eve Carson (UNC Student Body President), Abhijit Mahato (Duke graduate student) and other gun violence victims. Lie-in participants will also call for sensible gun laws to prevent future tragedies.

WHEN: NOON, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16
WHERE: POLK PLACE, near Gardner Hall, UNC-Chapel Hill campus

ALSO,
in Durham:
Please join us Wednesday, April 16, NOON, on the front steps of DUKE CHAPEL, Duke University, Durham.
You are invited to represent one of the 32 victims at VA Tech or one of the 32 Americans murdered by guns everyday in the US. Our witness will send the simple message that it is too easy to buy a gun in America.
Twenty-two people, including six teenagers, were shot to death last year in Durham.
