SENATOR KAY HAGAN TO SPEAK AT THE TRIAD BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL GUILD APRIL 17, 2008
U.S. Senate hopeful will address Gay and Lesbian Business Networking Group

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA – (April 10, 2008) – Guilford County Senator and U.S. Senate hopeful Kay Hagan will speak at the April meeting of the Triad Business and Professional Guild (TBPG) at the Greensboro-High Point Airport Marriott on April 17, 2008. Hagan is running against Chapel Hill investment banker Jim Neal in the Democratic primary. The winner of the May 6th primary will run against Senator Elizabeth Dole in a November election.
“I do not know who will best represent the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) community in the U.S. Senate for the next term, so I want to hear what each candidate has to say. I hope you do, too,” said Kate Larson, TBPG President. “What a privilege that we have two intelligent, thoughtful and worldly individuals willing to run at a time when every candidate’s personal life is under a super-powered microscope.”

About TBPG: The Triad Business and Professional Guild promotes networking, professional development, personal enrichment, and social opportunities for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender, and our allies in the Piedmont Triad. Our membership is almost equally divided among men and women, representing all ages and encompassing scores of occupations.

About the meeting: The evening will begin with a networking cocktail/social hour at 6:00 pm. Dinner will be served starting at 7:00, and the program will begin at 8:00. Please make your reservation by Tuesday April 15, 2008 to guarantee your dinner. To make your reservation, please go to the TBPG website at www.triadguild.com or call 336-272-4256.
